blog assingment 8
I personally believe that blogs are a good resource for teenagers. Most uses for blogs are for people to get there feelings out into the public. The problem is that if people use that aggainst the person as a sort of black mail. people should make blogs private to people thatthey donot want to see it
blog assignment 7 my favorite writing assignemtn
My personal favorite assignment that i have ever had to write was a creative writing paper i did titled The Sword of the Father. It is a story based i feudal Japan and is a bout two brother rivalry. The older brother Matsu is angery that the Younger brother Yanza recieved there fathers sword when he died and so Matsu wants to kill Yanza and take the sword from his brother but in the end Yanza ends Matsu's life when he theatens the lives of Yanza's traveling companions Gouki and Hansaru.

blog assignment 5 favorite book
my favorite book is The Odyssey by the Greek writer Homer. It is a compelling novel of the trials and tribulations of Odysseus trying to make his way home after the Trojan war. He has to withstand the forces of the gods. My personal favorite genre of books is mythology.
blog assignment 4 why i enjoy writing
I personally enjoy writing for various reason. One reason is that writing is a way of relieving tension, if you are feeling angry your writing will be aggressive. Another reason is that writing can get your feelings out in the open. Another reason is that people can write down there fantasies on paper an people will relate.
blog assignment 3 favorite type of writing
My personal choice of writing style is creative writing. I personally can sit down and write ten pages of a story in an hour when i could only knock out about a page or two of a research paper. It is my personal opinion that it is easier to write what is in your head than what is in a piece of paper.
blog assigment 2 why i do not like assignment writing
i utterly despise assignments that tell me what i must write for the paper to get a good grade. It is harder to write a paper on a topic that is assigned to us rather than a topic that we chose to write about by our selves. It would be easier for me to write a paper on the mechanics of a website than write a paper on the government.

The Glamorous lifestyle of a rock star is envied by most people around the world. These stars live lives we can only imagine living. However, such a life style can have some major flaws to it. One flaw that most of the world knows about is how drugs and the rocker life style go together. Another flaw is the side effects that come with the drugs. Another flaw is that after stardom how the stars fall from grace or start down the winding road to death. As long as there is music to be made there will be drugs in the system of some musician. The most well known group of musicians for drugs is rock stars. The most widely spread drug used is marijuana. And example of some well known musician who use this drug are Bob Marley, Willie Nelson, Art Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin. Another drug used by musician is Ecstasy; a well known Ecstasy user is Sting. Another drug used by musicians is LSD; a few examples of famous LSD are The Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix, and The Rolling Stones. Other well known drugs that have been used by musician are mushrooms, opium, heroin, prescription drugs, meth, and basically any thing that people can get high on. A little known fact is that a large majority of the past presidents have done drugs. With all the drugs that these musicians use there are bound to be side affects. Side affects for marijuana include dry mouth, blood shot eyes, paranoia, learning impairments, and intense, anxiety and panic attacks. LSD is a drug with some major side effects; those side effects include hypertension, dizziness, hallucinations, flashbacks, loss of appetite, numbness, dry mouth, can produce delusions, paranoia, and schizophrenia-like symptoms. Cocaine is also a well known drug with major side effects; side effects include hypertension, nausea and vomiting, insomnia, cold sweats, restlessness and anxiety, damage to lungs, and possible heart attacks. Ecstasy is also a drug with some serious side effects’; side affects include teeth clinching, chills and sweating, aggression, blurred vision, acne like rash, liver damage, paranoia, sleep problems, confusion, addiction, anxiety, and brain damage. And the drug in my personal opinion that has the worst side effects is meth; side effects include lose of appetite, brain damage, aggression, paranoia, loss of social skills, rotting teeth, and insomnia. Those are just a few of the most well known drugs and there side effects, there are numerous other drugs with much more harmful side effects. All we can do is hope that people have the common sense not to do such drugs. Most stars who take drugs eventually have there downfall associated with the same drugs they took. Some musicians downfall includes there death, others downfall include going to jail, a divorce, or just doing something so stupid that the American public can not stand that person. Some stars that have died from drugs include Elvis Presley who died while on the toilet, Curt Cobain, Jimmy Chamberlin, Jimmy Hendrix, Shannon Hoon, and Jerry Garcia. Those star had it easier than the stars that lived because the stars that lived have to suffer with what they have done. Britney Spears used the most widely used drug, alcohol and blamed it for her shaving her head and her fake British accent. Toby Keith wrote the song I Will never Smoke Weed with Willie Again about the time he smoked weed with Willie Nelson. Willie Nelson seems to be the only musician that has not been hated for drugs, probably due to the fact that he is a loveable old man.
Rock and Roll has been a focus of attention for many years. The artists that play this kind of music in the past have wrote many god songs and have been a focal point for many people but not always in a good way. Rock stars in the past have had problems after the climb to stardom. Many soon after fallen off the charts or to some people off the world even faster than there rise. On of the biggest influences on this is the addiction to drugs. Drugs are a big influence on not just the songs that are being written but also the artists themselves. And this is just one of the instances that this happened. If you rise you must fall right? If you are a rock n’ roll artist this is a big deal and will probably happen.

reflection 1 of 10
Writing is a hard task for me because when i actually work on a paper with all my focus i can never truely get a final draft because i always find something i can improve upon when i am about to finish and right before i turn the paper in to the teacher i feel like i should rewrite the paper.
rock star
a rockstar in my mind is someone who makes good music. But also for some reason when i think of a rockstar i also think of drugs, hotel parties, and drinking. Most rockstars do not last, sure bands like U2, kiss, and Greenday have survived. But most bands that get into the business have a hit or two put out a cd and then faid away into history.
Reflection about icons
A large majority of icons in our modern society are idiots basically. They tell little girls to wear just enough clothes to cover the parts not allowed to be shown. Telling people that they are ugly for little things, and not to mention most of them are not that smart themselve and if they are not as stupuid as they seem they are told to act like an idiot to keep the public from thinking they can actually do something so that when they do act smart the whole nation goes in an up roar, I cant believe it they actually know how to do this and that.

American Dream
When most people hear or talk about the American Dream they believe they are talking about strictly money, but another part of the American Dream is home ownership. Most people believe that if they get the money they can get a house but 10 to 15 percent of Americans live in apartments or rent homes for various reasons. If a person lives in an apartment they don’t truly know the feeling of owning there home. The thought of homeownership as part of the American dream was formed in the mid 1940’s. This part of the dream has progressed since it was added to the dream. And this part of the dream is not possible for every American citizen.
The thought of owning a home has been a major part of the American Dream since 1947 when real estate developers Levitt & Sons started the first planned suburban community. The reason the community was built was because during the Depression and World War II the number of houses being built was at a low point and because GI’s coming home from the war wanted to get married and start families and so they needed homes to do so. The community was built on Long Island on what was formerly a potato field. The community was known as Levittown and had 17,447 houses on that little piece of land. The average price of a home in Levittown ranged from $11,500 to $14,500. Levittown is now the blue print in which all neighborhoods are based upon.
Homeownership may be part of the American Dream but it has evolved over the years as the housing needs changed. As the amount of furniture, electronics, and living space families need to be able to keep with the life style they are accustomed to living. The appliances needed for a house has evolved from a refrigerator, a cloth washer, and an oven; to a washer and dryer, a deep freezer in some houses, a television, a computer, and a most importantly a microwave. The main reason the microwave has become the most important appliance to have in a home in our modern society is because we are constantly moving and never slowing down long enough to have three sit down meals a day so the microwave is easier and quicker to cook a meal in than an oven. And since we are a society that never slows down we are too busy to read the newspaper so television and the internet are the main news sources for the country. And since the nation gets there news from the television the amount of furniture needed has increased from a couch in a room to a seat for each member of the family to gather round the television. Since the amount of possessions has increased for a family the amount of space needed for each family has tripled since Levittown was built. In Levittown the average square footage was 700-800 square feet; the average square footage of a new house is now about 2,100-2,200 square feet above ground.
Home ownership is not possible for every U.S. citizen. There are numerous reasons why owning a home is not possible for many Americans. One reason some citizens can not buy a house is there credit score, the reason someone’s credit score would be low is because of debts for credit cards or money owed. Another reason a citizen could not buy a home is because people cannot find what they are looking for in a house for what they are willing to pay, today people are looking to get as much space and a up to date house for little money. Basically people want a mansion for the price of a shack. And the last reason someone might not be able to purchase a house is because of the economy itself. The economy is constantly changing; currently the economy is in a recession even though no one wants to admit it. The economy is in this recession due to three things; oil, the war, and the media scaring everyone. Oil is affecting houses because if people are throwing all there money in their gas tanks they don’t have money for much else. The war is hurting the housing market because the longer the war goes on the more money the nation spends and the economy is lowered into a worst state. And the reason the media is hurting the housing market is because it is only letting the public know that the economy is bad and that is scaring people into not spending their money which means that no money is going into the economy to help it. Home sales are currently down by about 40% since they started to recede in 2005.
Owning a house may be part of the American Dream but it is not possible for everyone. Owning a house as a part of the American dream started in Levittown. It has progressed over the years with the necessity to have more space and possessions. And It is now not available to everyone because of various reason including the families money status, not finding what they want for the price, and the economy itself.
